First Appearance:March 2018
Hometown:A small town in New York, but I spent most of my adulthood in Brooklyn
How did you get into Roller Derby?
I had just recently moved to Birmingham and was struggling to find a community/meet people I connected with. My partner saw a few people skating near Railroad Park so we looked up the roller derby team and saw they had tryouts in March. I think I had only roller skated once in my life, but figured why not give it a shot. The first few months involved a lot of awkward falls, but it was one of the best decisions I made last year.
What is your most embarrassing roller derby memory?
Having the jammer panty fall off of my helmet and not realizing it until I was halfway around the track. Everyone was shouting and I had no idea what to do. I obviously made the wrong decision and started skating opposite derby direction, towards the panty...newbie mistakes.
What was your first bout like?
My first bout was Rollsheviks vs. Hot Quads (go rolls!). I had no idea what to expect, but it was definitely comforting to play against my teammates that I had practiced against rather than a team I knew little about.
What are some of your other hobbies?
Traveling, photography, hiking, camping, reading, podcasts, cooking
What charities or organization(s) are you involved with or support?
I love so many things, but I can never say no to pizza
