Occupation:National Certified Master Groomer. I'm one of only 8 in the state. I guess you could say I'm really good at making dogs pretty.
Hometown:Right here in Bham
Derby Spouse:I'm still on the market. Is derby Tinder a thing?
How did you get into Roller Derby?
I saw a recruitment flyer on Facebook and I'd always thought it would be fun.
What is your best roller derby memory?
The first home bout I went to! I'd just had my appendix taken out the day before, but I didn't want to miss it. So I went and I had a blast! Four days later I went to recruitment.
What is your most embarrassing roller derby memory?
That's easy. Having a simple misstep turn into breaking your leg in three places. Not one of my proudest moments, but a backwards foot makes for a cool story nevertheless.
What was your first bout like?
I'll 'letcha know when that happens.
What are some of your other hobbies?
Hanging with my kids and husband, reading, grooming competitively, I'm active at my church and I could also go pro in nap taking.
Who are some of your personal Heroes
It's a Sunday School answer, but my Mama. She's the strongest, most loving, funniest, feistiest woman I know. If I'm half the woman she is one day, I'd consider it a success.
What 3 fictional characters best describe you?
I'm gonna go with Kimmy Schmidt, Jessica Day (New Girl) annnnd Jessica Jones (but not as drunk).
What charities or organization(s) are you involved with or support?
Hand in Paw is a favorite!
Where do you like to hang out in Birmingham when you are not skating?
Railroad Park with the family. I'm a big fan of Saw's Soul Kitchen in Avondale.
Fries from Mooyah and Pork n Greens from Saw's Soul Kitchen are standouts.
I'll listen to just about anything. Some of my favorites are Brand New, Bright Eyes (well anything Conor Oberst has a hand in really.), H2O, and Iron and Wine to name a few. Also, if I have a few drinks in me or if I'm comfortable enough around you, I turn into a 90's and 00's hip hop juke box. It's embarrassing.
Steel Magnolias. It gets me every time.
That one's too hard to pick. Pass!
I love Daredevil, the Originals, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and I've watched Sons of Anarchy to completion no less than five times.
